Curator note(2026-06-07 දින ආරම්භ කරන ලදී)
This is a course we conducted for a class of non-programmers who have applied for a computer engineering program. It introduces the classical logic structures, sequence, if-else, while, subprograms, etc. in six units. There is a large number of programming exercises which are machine-graded by the Formulas question type and the Virtual Programming Lab plug-ins for Moodle.
Curator noteThe link takes you to a public version of the course and gives you a test account. Interested teachers may apply for an own account and upon completion of the course, download the mbz file which you can restore in their Moodle sites under CC-BY. Read the README.txt for detailed instructions.
This guided workshop is your first encounter with the Linux shell, commonly called the Unix command line interface (CLI). In six units of 1 to 2 hours of work each, this workshop opens up the newcomer to "talk" freely to Unix/Linux in a text terminal. This is the first step in your Linux journey.
